President Obama just held a press conference to announce his plans to consolidate six federal government agencies, in effort to make it easier for small businesses with respect to navigating federal government services.
President Obama, states that he will unveil a Business USA website in the upcoming weeks; which will be like a one stop informational for businesses. In addition, there will also be one phone number making it easier people to contact federal government agencies.
The following agencies will be consolidated; Commerce Department Business and Trade Foundation, Small Business Administration, Office of U.S. Trade Rep., Export-Import Bank, Overseas Private Investment Corp., and Trade and Development Agency.
President Obama urged Congress to pass this bill, that’s set to save the federal government $3 billion over the next few years; while cutting 1,000- 2,000 jobs.
