Over A Dozen Occupy Protesters Arrested In San Francisco For Blocking Banks

The Occupy movement marches on, despite the lack of attention they are receiving from the news media. It seems as though, every time there’s an incident involving the police and protesters; this movement begins to receive more attention.

Yesterday, over a dozen protesters were arrested in San Francisco California. The arrest came after protesters began occupying Wells Fargo bank headquarters. It’s being reported that protesters formed a human chain, locking arms together, and blocked the entrance to Wells Fargo. Officers began arresting these individuals, for refusing to move and blocking exits.

The protesters were demanding that banks stop the eviction and foreclosures taking place throughout the U.S. The banking industry seems to have recovered from the 2008 recession, yet millions of Americans continue to suffer; as a direct result of the ill practices of the banking industry.

As we stated in the past, the Occupy movement is sure to be extremely influential during the 2012 elections. We will do our best to continue to follow the efforts of the Occupy movement.
