In an era where hip hop music, seems to be over-saturated with superficial messages. It’s always refreshing to hear music that goes beyond the surface.

Don Trip is a rare emcee, in today’s hip hop world. He offers an introspective, and honest look into his life, as well as  things taking place in today’s society. His ability to paint vivid pictures, using his lyrics as the platform; is incredible and represents the organic element of  what hip hop culture is about.

His song “letter To His Son,” is a truly deep song, that represents so many young men, who find themselves struggling to maintain relationships with their children; after they’ve ended relationships with their children’s mothers. This is a topic that is so prevalent in today’s society, yet few seem to address this.

Don Trip, however does this topic justice,by expressing his feeling in the song. We hope the message begins to resonate with people, and we make improvements. It’s important for both parents to play an active role in their children’s lives.
