Hip Hop Executive Chris Lighty Dies
We are saddened to report to you, that long time music industry executive Chris Lighty, has passed away.
According to Global Grind, the details surrounding his death are unknown at this time.
Chris Lighty helped to revolutionize hip hop, by managing artist and helping to brand and market them, into other arenas of business outside of hip hop.
He was the founder of Violator Management, which was the company responsible for managing the careers of LL Cool J, 50 Cent, and Missy Elliot, just to name a few.
We thank God for giving us Chris Lighty, who helped to inspire us to pursue a career in the hip hop industry.
Chris Lighty who hails from the Bronx, NY proved that with a plan, hard work, and dedication, you can achieve all of your goals.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends. May Chris Lighty rest in peace!

According to the NY Daily News, it’s being alleged that Chris Lighty died of an apparent suicide, shooting himself in the head. We will continue to follow up with the updates.
