(Game Highlights) NY Knicks Defeat Portland Trail Blazers 121-79; After Mike D’Antoni Resigns

Yesterday, Mike D’Antoni made the announcement that he was resigning a NY Knick head coach.

Assistant coach Mike Woodson assumed the position, and is now the interim head coach for the NY Knicks. Last nights game, may have proved that move to be a good,  as the NY Knicks defeated the Portland Trailblazers 121-79.

Although, the crowd seemed to boo Carmelo during the game, the Knicks cruised the entire game, due to the media speculating that Carmelo,  was responsible for the decision to get rid of Mike D’Antoni.  Whatever the case is, we’re sure Knick fans will be cheering for Melo during the next game.

Both Carmelo and Amare had a combined 30 points by the end of the first half. While J.R. Smith scored 25 points, and Steve Novak contributed 20 points, to the Knicks win.

The Knicks are scheduled to play the Indiana Pacers at the Garden, on Friday March 16th.
